@chardonhs Chromebook Collection Essential Information

Chromebook Collection 2016

It is hard to believe that we are closing out the 2015-16 school year. We have many things to be grateful for and accomplishments to celebrate this year.
​

During the days of May 18-20; 24-27, students will need to turn-in their Chromebooks & Chargers in the Learning Center. School Fees may be accessed according to the condition of your device or failure to return a charger 

The following times will be allotted:

May 18-20, 2016     (8:30 AM-12:00 PM) Senior Chromebook Collection
May 24-27, 2016     (9:00AM- 12:00PM) Underclassmen Collection

What Do Students Need To Know?
  1. Bring in your Chromebook charged.
  2. Chromebook collection is located in the Learning Center.
  3. At the 1st station, assistants will verify Chromebooks and the student will clean/ dry the device/ place chargers in a ziplock bag.
  4. Parents will verify the Chromebook/ Assess the machine for damage/ and place it in the proper bin
  5. If there are any fees, they will be need to be paid prior to graduation practice.
  6. Exit the doors on the northeast corner of the Media Center.

What Will The Parent Helpers Do?

~Greet the Student and ask them their Last & First Names
~Find the student's Return Form (alphabetized and sorted in Grades)
~Have Students
  1. ​​​​Clean and wipe down the device (wipes provided)
  2. Power ON - make sure it powers up properly
  3. Power OFF - make sure it powers down properly
~Have students put their charger in ziploc bag & place in bin
~Ask them if they have had problems with their Chromebook to assist you with determining major issues

~Do a
Quick Check & Document of their device:  


Things to check
-

  1. Cover - ThinkPad logo, etc.
  2. Screen - frame, sides, LCD, etc.
  3. ​Hinges
  4. Keyboard & touchpad
  5. Back casing - serial logos, screws, etc.

~Have
Students Sign & Put your Initials on the Return Form

~Place their Return Form inside the device
~Put device in the appropriate Bin:


  1. Acceptable - according to their last name (generally 25 devices per bin)
  2. Needs Repair
