Chromebook Update Available:
Chrome OS version 39 is now available. This update contains a number of bug fixes for the district's Chromebook devices. Please ask all users to verify the latest version of Chrome OS is installed. Open the browser on a Chromebook. In the Address bar type: chrome://help This will auto-launch the update if not already installed. Restart to apply. Normally updates are spread over a period of several days. Because of the nature of this update, the sooner the update is applied the better. It is important to regularly shutdown Chromebook devices so that important updates can be downloaded and applied. Just closing the lid on a Chromebook does not shutdown a device, rather the device enters a suspended stated. Using the power button on the right side of the device or select the Shutdown option in the lower left of the screen after Sign Out. As we enter flue/cold season, it is a good time to use a microfiber/ or soft cloth that is gently damp to wipe down the entire Chromebook. This preventative care will help maintain the durability of the machine along with keeping germs from growing. Thank you. I have worked in the field of special education for 8 years, in both public and private schools settings in the Cleveland area. Having worked with elementary school and middle school students previously, I am enjoying having the new experience of working at the high school level.
I was married last September (proudly to a CHS graduate!) and we live in Mentor where I grew up. We love to travel and over the summer visited Chicago, California, Italy and Greece.
