7/19/2016 Welcome LetterChardon is the heart of so many beautiful treasures. From the seasons, festivals, and picturesque views to the strong community, family values, and the transformative educational experiences for our students. As a Chardon native, graduate, and educator- I am proud to call Chardon my home. I entered Chardon Schools three years ago after thirteen years as an educator with a vision to lead with a purpose. I have learned from the dynamic leadership of Mr. Fetchik along with our influential educators. Together, extraordinary accomplishments have transpired within our school, community, state, and global connections. I am energized to have the opportunity to continue to serve the students and staff of Chardon High School as principal. Chardon High School’s most valuable resource is our children. Our continued vision in education stands firm in the power of exemplary education. Students at Chardon graduate empowered to serve the greater good of humanity. Our students leave the halls with knowledge and experiences that prepare them for college and career readiness. Our students embody the values of community, humility, achievement, respect, dignity, optimism, and nurture which guide their lives with a purpose. We are all proud to claim that we are from Chardon. Our staff is working hard to prepare for the school year. It has been great to see so many familiar faces working this summer in the building. Kathleen Kisabeth, and Ryan Bandiera (our new assistant principals) are excited to collaborate, and innovate with our staff. Ms. Kisabeth and Mr. Bandiera embody our core values and are excited to see our students and staff in action. We are deeply humbled and ready to for the upcoming year. In a few short weeks, our student athletes will begin preparing for the Fall Season, the band will begin to march, school will begin, and together we will commence the 201st year as a school district. I look forward to the many opportunities that we will meet throughout the high school experience this year. Whether we are meeting at Open House, at an athletic event, theatrical performance, or at one of our parent forums- I am excited to lead our students and staff towards continued excellence. Coming together is just the beginning, staying together will lead our progress, and working together will transform lives for generations of Hilltoppers. I look forward to the many ways that we can shape the lives of our children. I appreciate YOU, and all that you do for our community. Douglas Murray Principal Comments are closed.
