@chardonhs: Update about Maple Avenue Improvement Project

Dear Chardon Parents and Staff,
The City of Chardon's Maple Avenue Improvement Project is scheduled to begin the week of May 2, 2016.  Once the project begins, Maple Avenue will be closed to all traffic from Chardon Avenue south to North Hambden Street for approximately seven (7) months. Reconstruction, excluding paving, of the portion of Maple Avenue from Chardon Avenue north to the project end (Canfield Dr.) will take place during summer break when school is not is session.
Please note the following:

• Maple Avenue from Chardon Avenue north to Canfield Drive will remain open until the conclusion of the school year.
• The CHS and Maple Elementary campuses can be accessed from North Street and Chardon Avenue or Canfield Drive.
• Access to CMS will be unaffected by the closure.
• Parent drop off and pick up traffic patterns will remain the same for the rest of this school year. Slight modifications will be made to school bus traffic patterns.
• Please allow extra time when traveling the area since traffic will be concentrated on Chardon Avenue and Canfield Drive.
